Elephant Jungle Cafe

truly a sanctuary for elephants! we opted for feeding sessions, you can book hourly slots but we walked in and was able to join the next tour. not sure about slots but there’s definitely hourly ones, possibly half-hourly (not sure tho) - so try to reach close to the time (eg 1050, 1150, etc) to minimise waiting time! we paid 900 baht per person, credit card has an extra 3% charge! the fee goes to caring of the elephants and funding future elephant rescues :) some staff there are volunteers and they take tips only! was guided on how to feed them, together with some trivia of elephants here and there. there were 5 elephants for my session and they are all so calm! actual feeding was roughly around 30 mins, before the guide showed us how they “recycle” elephant poop into paper and notebooks! quite cool! we could claim a free drink afterwards w/ our wristband too. cafe was not air-conditioned, but having fans helped & was sufficient.

Great experience Kids love it. Choose the Feed them option. Others else doesn’t matters.

Lovely place where can meet elephants without chains. We were very impressed to see that in this place well being of elephants comes first, some you can touch , some just observe. Prices in coffee shop affordable and thats a plus, especially nowadays. We will definitely come back

We heard about this place while attending the elephant sanctuary, and had to go. We're very glad we did. The café was nice, clean, with delicious food and drinks. The staff was nice, and took out orders quickly. We ordered some delicious Italian sodas (I highly recommend the passion fruit), and two entrées. I had the Gah prow, and my wife had the chicken omlet over rice. The food was excellent, large portions, and came out quickly. The prices for everything were very reasonable. They ask that you purchase food and a drink to gain access to the elephants. Our 2 entrées and 2 drinks totaled less than 240 bhat ($8). We also purchased a bucket of food to feed the elephants for 100 bhat ($3.25). The grounds/garden are pretty, and the elephants are amazing as always. There was a grandma and an adorable baby the day we visited. If you buy a bucket of food, you can feed them by hand and pet them. Pictures are a must! There is absolutely no riding, they're not chained or caged in, and they seem happy and well cared for. I highly recommend visiting here, you'll love it. We're returning a few times. The food and experience are both worth it. Remember you're business helps provide food and care for these wonderful creatures.

This was such a great experience that it’s difficult to put into words and give a review worthy of this place. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, I wish I got the staff members name but she really was great. I really enjoyed the experience but most importantly the elephants are treated very well and seem to be happy. It is 900 baht to feed the elephants but I can think of far less enjoyable things I’ve spent that type of money on and this is for a good cause. You don’t get to ride the elephants but why would you want to anyway if it’s not something they enjoy or benefit from? The only thing I would suggest would be to have a day where Thai nationals can feed them for free since community support is important and 900 baht may not be within their budget. I’ll definitely be back.

A must do in Phuket. The staff at this sanctuary are super friendly and happy to chat about the history of each elephant. All the elephants here are female or babies. No males as they can get aggressive as I was told. Got the chance to feed and Pat the elephants - a must if visiting. Got to see the baby elephant as well as the old ones. You get a free drink from the cafe after the experience to cook off.

I hope this review is helpful for those who is not sure to visit this place. Everyone who go to chill out at the cafe. You will have chance to visit elephants as we purchased food and drink over 250B so we have free pass to visit elephants with bucket of fruits and you can feed an elephants as well. (Not sure if it only during COVID-19, you can check with the place) Just so you know everyday elephants eating like hundreds kg. of fruits. That would be great to visit the place and they can have more income to purchase food for them or you can even donate if I am not wrong. ! Non any of them were tie with chain. I was very impressed. They living freely with joyful. There was one elephant dancing and pinch her own nipples, because they used to training her to dance for food and it was effected until now and we should not dancing back at them ( the staff told us about this) it was sad to know that. I was so scared of elephants, because of the size, but staffs were nice to show that elephants are nice and friendly animal. I got coverage. I hope people who read my review support the place like this, it is way better to drive them or watch the performance from elephants. Recommended!!!
